This month's meeting presentation was given by the Vision Forum's Success Teams. Three teams have continued working over the course of the past fiscal year to develop a culturally vibrant, life-enriching, and economically profitable vision of what Hagerstown and Washington County needs to look like within the next decade. The members of these teams are industry experts, city and county representatives, educational leaders, and our community’s foremost entrepreneurs. Some are GHC members and some are people that were tapped specifically for their expertise regarding certain subject matters. All are motivated and excited to make our community a better place to live, work, and play.
GHC members John Latimer, chair of the Downtown Enhancement Success Team, Basheer Azizi, chair of the Innovative Gateways Success Team, and Rich Daughtridge, chair of the Tourism Assets Success Team and the Vision 2.1 Forum, led our members through a visual presentation of the culmination of this past year’s work. They presented objectives and strategies their teams have developed to improve our community’s chances of revitalizing the business district, improving our downtown core, expanding our county’s tourism economy, and cultivating our entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The PowerPoint presentation may be viewed on our website under the "Publications" tab.
